Job Description

We're looking for an exceptional Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team, based in Cambridge. Reporting to Head of Global Accounting, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close, statutory compliance, and controls implementation across multiple legal entities. The role requires attention to detail, and the ability to work within an international, multi-entity environment.



This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office.

Responsibilities




Perform bank reconciliations in the ERP weekly for the whole group, ensuring cash per books are up to date and correct postings are made. Work with Accounts Payable Team to ensure that payments are captured in an accurate and timely manner. Perform intercompany reconciliation monthly and ensure intercompany invoices are processed by both parties. Perform CAPEX monthly review in accordance with Group accounting policy, ensure that Group fixed asset register is updated, and correct postings are made every month. Provide relevant data to our 3rd party accountants as necessary to ensure that local statutory reporting can be completed on a timely basis. Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process for small and dormant entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Assist with external and internal audit requests as required. Assistance in the implementation of effective internal controls within the Group. Completion of balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Group deadlines and specifications. Support the Head of Global Accounting and Group Financial Controller in KYC and ONS survey completion and other admin task as necessary. Other accounting tasks and activities as determined from time to time.

About you





To be successful in this role, you'll need to have/be:


Experience working in a multi-entity environment. Understanding of Reporting Frameworks including IFRS. Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field. Part-qualified or fully qualified CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred. First time mover from practice to industry are welcome. Audit background is a plus. Experience in financial accounting, preferably in MedTech, Life Sciences, or Healthcare industries is preferred but not required.
