Job Title: Financial Accountant

Reports To: Financial Controls & Compliance Manager
Location: Gillingham / Hybrid
Overview:
Reporting to the Manager for Control + Compliance, the candidate will be responsible for Statutory Accounts and Technical accounting
Job Responsibilities:
The role holder will be expected to be responsible for the following:Statutory accounts preparation. This includes 14 statutory entities and 6 dormant entities in the UK and Ireland.
Group accounts and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries
Posting and maintenance of leases in compliance with US GAAP standards.
Maintaining a strict controls process to ensure compliance with internal policies
Posting of tax entries
Assessment of technical accounting measures as they arise and implementation of any new accounting standards
Support Finance team with closing out of any Internal Audit matters
Provide support to foreign subsidiaries with any technical accounting issues
Company secretarial duties
Ad hoc projects /tasks as required
Job Skills & Experience Required:
To succeed in this role, you'll need the following:
Qualifications:Newly qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Skill & Experience:Have good technical knowledge of US GAAP and FRS102 standards
Knowledge of Caseware software
Be able to work with a complex accounting package
Be proficient in excel at an advanced level
