As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial function of the company. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and regulations working closely with the finance team. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing financial performance, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
What you'll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting principles, staying updated on changes and implementing necessary adjustments. Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with VAT laws and regulations. Prepare calculations for the capitalisation of internally developed assets in accordance with IAS 38 Preparation of income tax calculations Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams Support the finance team in ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as assigned.

Essential skills you'll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred. Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, FRS). Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., NAV, Cognos) and advanced MS Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations. High integrity and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
