Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to lead our finance function from our Wembley office, overseeing all financial operations for our UK-based group of companies. You will be responsible for driving strategic financial planning, ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations, and managing a growing finance team of four.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and is passionate about improving systems, automating processes, and delivering actionable financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee financial operations across four UK Ltd companies and one Albanian entity
Provide strategic and operational leadership to the finance team (4 staff in Albania)
Ensure full compliance with UK GAAP, and international accounting standards
Lead and optimize use of Xero accounting software, including automation of processes, reporting, and integrations
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
Prepare accurate, timely financial reports, dashboards, and analysis for the Managing Director and executive team
Maintain strong working relationships with external accountants (UK), auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
Monitor and improve cash flow, P&L performance, cost control, and capital planning
Develop internal controls, policies, and risk management strategies
Support strategic decisions including potential fundraising, acquisitions, or business restructuring in the future
Serve as the key financial liaison between the UK operations and Albanian support centre
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Financial Manager, or equivalent leadership role
Strong knowledge of UK financial and tax laws, with working familiarity of Albanian regulations
Fluent in English, both spoken and written (essential for communication with UK accountants and management)
Extensive hands-on experience with Xero and a clear understanding of its capabilities
Experience in construction, retail, or related industries strongly preferred
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations
Proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of working independently and leading teams
Experience in international tax or cross-border finance is a plus
