We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, managing financial records, and ensuring the accuracy of account information. Duties
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP or IFRS.
Managing month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintaining accurate general ledger postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
Monitoring cash flow, working capital, and financial risks.
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial documentation.
Overseeing day-to-day finance operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, and credit control.
Ensuring timely supplier payments and client invoicing.
Reviewing VAT returns, SAGE payroll, and HMRC matters.
Supporting and mentoring junior finance staff.
Working closely with management and clients on financial planning and operational decision-making.
Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders.
Improving internal financial controls and processes.
Enhancing and optimising accounting systems such as Sage and Xero
Requirements
A degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum
2 years of accounting experience.
Bilingual--
English and Urdu
.
Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar role.
Strong understanding of credit control and purchase ledger functions.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Sage, Xero, and Excel.
Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
A proactive, organised mindset with great attention to detail.
