My Role Overview - What can I expect?
As Financial Controller for Westbase.io you will play a pivotal role in supporting both our UK and European businesses as they continue to grow.
We work in a fast paced environment where new commercial opportunities frequently present themselves, therefore you will be required to build strong relationships with other departments to ensure that financial processes are continually reviewed and adapted to fit the needs of the business.
As a leader you will be expected to enable high performance in your team by setting clear goals and objectives and leading by example, identifying and promoting growth in individuals and coaching when required.

My Team - What does my team look like?
You will lead a team of Finance Officers within the business, reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer and interact with other stakeholders across the business and members of the Senior Leadership Team

Managing day-to-day finance operations, including team leadership and all core accounting processes.
Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and board packs, with clear commentary and variance analysis.
Overseeing cashflow forecasting and monitoring.
Managing multi-currency accounting and reporting.
Owning the month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensuring accurate and compliant payroll and commission calculations.
Building relationships with non-finance stakeholders, offering a financial perspective on commercial and operational decisions.
Analysing financial data and developing KPIs and reporting to support business performance.
Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, business plans and ad-hoc financial reporting as required.

My Experiences & Qualifications - You're someone who has
At least 5 years proven work experience as a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
Experience with ERP systems.
