Job Description

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal leadership role at Keylite, driving a high-performing finance function that underpins the success of the entire business. You will take ownership of robust financial governance, delivering accurate, insightful, and timely reporting while providing hands-on operational support across all sites.


Working in close partnership with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will influence business performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable confident, data-driven decision-making. This is a highly visible role with real impact, particularly during key trading and high-demand operational periods, offering the opportunity to shape strategy and add measurable value across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:




Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture


Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting in line with Keystone Group requirements, including:

Monthly Management Accounts Consolidated Management Accounts KPIs and performance reporting Weekly cash flow forecasts

Oversee preparation of accurate internal & external reports, ensuring compliance with regulation.


Work closely with the Finance Director to support and oversee operations across all Keylite sites


Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, including cost analysis, margin analysis, and product costing, to Directors and senior managers


Support manufacturing and operational teams with accurate costing and performance insights


Ensure compliance with all statutory and taxation requirements, meeting all deadlines


Maintain strong professional relationships with auditors and other external stakeholders


Lead the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact


Manage and monitor cash flow, debt, and collections.


Monitor, review, and improve internal accounting procedures and financial controls to enhance efficiency and robustness.


Establish, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures to protect company assets.


Manage budget cycles, monitor variances, and provide financial projections.

Skills & Experience



Essential



Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a leadership role, with a strong track record in financial systems and controls. Strong Excel, ERP Systems experience preferably Microsoft Nav/BC. Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Strong team management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Deep understanding of business practices and ability to influence stakeholders. High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a proactive approach. Strong business acumen and ability to interpret complex financial data.

Additional Requirements



Flexibility to travel occasionally, including overnight stays when required
