Job Description

Sycurio is seeking a Financial Controller responsible for overseeing all


accounting activities, including, financial reporting and ensuring compliance


with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.


Leading the accounting team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the


Accounting daily function, cash flow management and monitoring of working


capital including collection of debts, timely invoicing of customers and


payment of suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Management & Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income

statements, balance sheets and cashflow statements.

Ensure all financial reporting is compliant with accounting standards

FRS102.

Lead the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial

reports.

Lead on the production of our monthly board pack, providing detailed

analysis and commentary on financial results.

Monthly reporting to our PE investors. Monthly reporting for the banks.

Financial Controls & Compliance:

Maintain and improve internal financial controls to safeguard

company assets.

Ensure compliance with local, state and UK tax requirements and

liaise with auditors and tax authorities as needed.

Day to day lead on the annual external annual audit .

Cash Flow & Treasuring Management: Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial efficiency. Prepare weekly 2+12 weekly cashflow forecast. Leadership & Team Development: Lead and manage the accounting team (currently a team of 3), ensuring strong performance and professional development. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in the accounting function, implementing best practices. Systems & Process Improvement: Oversee the financial systems and ensure their continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve financial reporting systems for accuracy and efficiency. Information Security Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting Sycurio in managing and maintaining certification for the following frameworks: ISO27001. PCI (Data Security Standard, Payment Application Data Security Standard, Software Security. Framework, Secure Software Lifecycle.) Cyber Essentials. HITRUST.


Key qualifications, skills, experience:

Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative

team.

Proven capability to remain composed under pressure and meet tight

deadlines.

Skilled in leading and managing a high-performing team. Advanced proficiency in Excel with demonstrated technical expertise. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. CIMA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification

experience (PQE).

At least 5 years of relevant industry experience. * Experience with NetSuite is preferred but not mandatory.
