The role

As our Financial Controller, you will report to the Finance Director and take full ownership of the accuracy of our accounts and the performance of your team. You will be responsible for preparing timely monthly management information for internal and external stakeholders while maintaining robust internal controls across the business.

What you'll be doing

Management of the Management Accountants to ensure production of timely, accurate and relevant management information. Production of monthly management accounts for each Group company including profit and loss account, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Analysis of monthly performance against company and departmental budgets including variance analysis. Improving and automating the month end process to achieve a quicker month-end close. Business partnering the commercial teams to ensure they have strong commercial and financial understanding to support accurate revenue recognition and invoicing. Managing the Audit submissions and relationship with external auditors.

What we're looking for

Qualified Accountant status with ACA, CIMA, or ACCA and 5+ years of post-qualification experience. Up-to-date understanding of VAT, PAYE/NIC, and statutory reporting requirements. Advanced user of Sage 200 or similar ERP and Excel, with experience in Synergist or BPC being advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly articulate a vision to inspire others. Confident in presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders to clarify commercial risks and opportunities.
