Role overview:

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our company through providing financial and management reports to the Finance Director, the senior leadership team and the Vestey Group.

You will oversee all operations of the department ensuring these are carried out accurately and in line with compliance.

Your responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Establish and monitor internal control policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Manage cash flow and financial planning to support business growth. Conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making. Business partner with management to support with finance matters and offer business focused solutions. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Deputise for the Finance Director.

Your Skills and experience:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Relevant qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office. Experience of managing a team. Excellent communication skills including building relationships and leading communications with stakeholders. Dependable and trustworthy, always committing to doing what you say you will do. Enjoys a fast-paced commercial environment. Highly organised ensuring all work activities are conducted to timescale and the highest standard. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Resilient, resourceful and adaptable to change
