Job Description


:
Robert Half are partnering with a highly progressive, SME client that is focused on maximising multiple revenue streams including vehicle asset management and advertising.
Role is based in Camden (4 days in the office, 1 day WFH).
Duties:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including detailed revenue, cost centre, and variance analysis across multiple legal entities.
  • Drive efficient month end close, ensuring all journals, accruals, reconciliations, and financial adjustments are completed with zero compromise on accuracy.
  • Develop and manage detailed cash flow models, integrating data across all business areas to forecast liquidity, covenant headroom, and investment needs.
  • Take ownership of the preparation and submission of statutory accounts for all legal entities, ensuring full compliance with UK GAAP and regulatory deadlines.
  • Maintain and manage all VAT group structures, ensuring correct reporting, recovery, and treatment across multiple entities with varying activities (standard-rated, exempt, zero-rated).
  • Track P&L by vehicle, accounting for rental income, downtime, repairs, parts usage, and insurance deductibles, giving granular control over unit profitability.
  • Collaborate directly with the Business Analyst to build automated dashboards, forecasts, and performance packs that align operational KPIs with financial results.
  • Leverage Power BI, SQL, and Excel to build real-time tools tracking profitability, costs, drivers, depot efficiency, and media performance.
  • Spearhead finance transformation projects across reporting automation, digital workflow adoption, dashboard deployment, and real-time performance tracking.
Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL; expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • 5-7+ years in a senior finance or multi-entity controller-level role.
  • Experience managing month-end close, statutory accounts, VAT groups, and audit processes.
