We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Responsibilities
Oversee all daily financial transactions and processes within NetSuite, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Produce monthly management accounts, KPIs, and financial statements.
Monitor cashflow on a daily/weekly basis, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
Develop and maintain NetSuite reporting dashboards tailored to the needs of the business.
Manage and develop the AP and AR executives.
Prepare VAT returns, payroll journals, and statutory submissions using NetSuite data.
Liaise with external auditors and provide all required documentation.
Prepare short- and long-term cashflow forecasts.
Analyse variances, performance trends, and cashflow movements, providing insights and recommendations to the Finance Director.
Support the Finance Director with annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning models.
Maintain the general ledger, reviewing and approving postings, journals, accruals, and prepayments.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
Maintain and continually improve financial controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Oversee the purchase ledger and sales ledger activities, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and processing via NetSuite.
Manage supplier payments, customer receipts, and bank reconciliations.
Qualifications:
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Essential
Experience:
Proven experience working as a Financial Controller or similar role for a minimum of 2 years - Essential
Experience working in a small, growing business - Desirable
Strong working knowledge of NetSuite - Essential
