Terry's are an established 50 year old company. We started selling on-line over 15 years ago and have become a market leader in the online home furnishings market. We are still family owned so every employee is hugely important to our company as are our customers. Our company has survived and flourished through repeating customers and recommendations.

We are require a financial controller to join our team to improve our internal processes and make sure that we maximise our business model.

As Financial Controller your duties will include: -

Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the month end management reports including P&L and cash flow.

Monthly meeting the directors to monitor performance against forecasts.

Closely monitor margins within the business and monitor supplier performance/charging to assist the MD and marking director with management of promotional margins

Work closely with managers across the business with overhead expenditure and raise accountability

Monitor inventory and stock movements

Preparation of Vat returns

You'll have first-rate communications skills and be able to translate financial data into actionable information for the board and SMT. You will need an excellent working knowledge of Excel and be able to distil data into manageable insightful report.

As such, you'll need a confident personality who enjoys interacting with all levels and departments in a business.

Qualifications

Ideally you will have previous experience as a financial controller, and will be familiar with Sage 50 accounting.

You will need a meticulous attention to detail and will have good office 365. Ideally you will have requisite CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualifications but we are seeking the right candidate with the necessary skills over qualifications.
