We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage a small finance team, working in a multi-company, international and multi-currency environment to meet the reporting requirements as set out by the parent company Celnor.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Main Duties
Financial Reporting
Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts with the assistance of the ASM for some tasks
Consolidation of monthly management accounts
Variances to budget
Analysis of business performance
Meet parent company reporting deadlines and requirements
Attend monthly financial review meetings
Preparation of year end annual accounts and analysis of information for the auditors, ensuring proper compliance with all regulations
Operational Reporting
Cashflow management and reporting
Ensure integrity of WIP calculation through challenging assumption
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
Quarterly VAT returns for all UK entities
UKIMS application, Exports to NI reporting via TSS
Oversee and respond to monthly/weekly/daily reporting of AMA for debtors, cash & profitability
Payroll
Monthly payroll for the group entities
Pension contribution processing
Journals
P11D, PSA reporting
General Responsibilities
Policies and procedures within the finance function
Oversight of operational inputs to the finance function such as expenses submissions and sales and purchase invoice processing to maintain accurate records
Suggest and develop process and reporting enhancements in collaboration with the Systems Accountant
Advising management on business queries and financial responsibilities
Finance team management and development to enhance the productivity and skills of the department and manage operational requirements changes
Promote the positive collaboration of the finance team with the operational teams
Skills and Qualifications:
ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
Evidence of working in a similar role
Management accounting/business partnering success
Sage 200
SICON WAP (Approvals)
Xero
Knowledge of CIS processes and requirements
Advanced excel skills
Payroll, expenses and benefits
Great oral and written communication skill
The ability to work as part of a team and to lead a team
Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
Sound business processes knowledge
Accuracy and an eye for detail
