We're seeking a

Financial Controller

for a short-term forecasting project with a growing manufacturing and direct-to-consumer (DTC) business. The focus is on improving

forecasting accuracy, cash visibility, and decision-making clarity

.

The Role

You'll take ownership of the forecasting framework, building a

12-month integrated model

(P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) that links production, fulfilment, and working capital. You'll refine short-term liquidity reporting, stress-test assumptions, and provide clear recommendations to leadership.

This is a hands-on, senior-level assignment where precision, communication, and insight matter most.

What You'll Do

Build and validate a rolling

forecast model

(P&L, BS, CF) Model production capacity, yields, and inventory flows Analyse cash conversion cycles and working capital drivers Create short-term liquidity and scenario forecasts Present findings and practical actions to founders and finance leads

Essential Experience

Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Finance Director background Experience in

manufacturing, cost of goods, and forecasting

Strong

cash flow and scenario modelling

skills Advanced Excel or Power BI Qualified or finalist (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) UK-based, with car and full driving licence Able to travel to site between Launceston and Okehampton as needed

Contract Details

1-month contract (possible extension), hybrid with occasional site visits, 50k-60k pro rata.
