With ambitious growth plans and a dynamic team, we are now seeking a talented and experienced Financial Controller to support our continued success.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will be a key member of the senior management team. This is a high-profile role with responsibility for all aspects of financial management, including treasury operations, financial reporting, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day financial operations and accounting processes.
Manage and optimise the company's treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management.
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the Managing Director and board.
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and year-end statutory accounts.
Support strategic decision-making with robust financial analysis and insight.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Drive process improvements and system enhancements across the finance function.
Manage and develop a team of three direct reports: two Management Accountants and one Credit Control Manager.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders as required.
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in a similar financial leadership role, preferably within logistics or transport.
Strong knowledge of treasury management and financial controls.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
Confident team leader with a track record of mentoring and developing finance staff.
Hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
