About the Role



We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Assistant to join our growing finance function based in the North West of the UK.

This is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day finance operations, supporting both UK and European activities. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external accountants across multiple countries, using Xero as our core accounting system.

Our business operates in the UK and Ireland, with additional activity across Germany, Finland and Denmark, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a multi-entity, international environment.

Key Responsibilities



Processing and managing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledgers Raising and managing sales invoices and supporting sales applications Bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies Liaising with suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero Supporting month-end processes and reporting Working closely with external accountants in Ireland and other European countries Assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations Ensuring compliance with internal finance procedures and deadlines Cashflows and reporting.

About You



We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working with numbers and systems.

Essential:



Previous experience in an accounts, finance, or bookkeeping role Working knowledge of Xero. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills Confidence communicating with suppliers and external partners Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Desirable:



Experience working with multiple entities or currencies Exposure to international or European finance environments AAT qualification or working towards one Experience liaising with external accountants in each entity.
