We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
This position would suit someone from a fast paced, high transaction volume consumer goods background. While the priority is the astute financial management of the company, candidates with a strong commercial background who can add value to other areas of the business would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Timely production of multiple monthly management accounts and balance sheets in a high volume high transaction business
Cashflow Management:
Conducting cashflow forecasting and budgeting to ensure financial stability.
Credit Control:
Overseeing credit control processes to manage receivables and payables effectively.
Stock Accounting:
Managing stock and Work In Progress (WIP) accounting processes and ensuring accurate inventory reporting.
VAT Submissions:
Preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Audit Oversight:
Leading the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors.
Lender Relations:
Managing daily interactions with lenders to support business financing needs.
Payroll Management:
Liaising with payroll bureau to ensure accurate monthly payroll process and accounting
Insurance:
Lead the company risk process ensuring the business is adequately covered while managing and reducing risk exposure.
Strong commercial skill set with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in MS Office and Accounting software with a good understanding of the application of technology and process automation.
Leadership:
A strong team player who can dynamically motivate and lead an accounts team of 4
Collaboration:
Strong collaborative working style with the ability to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Integrity:
Highest levels of honesty and integrity.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Desirable Skills:
ISO Procedures:
Knowledge of ISO procedures.
Health & Safety:
Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
Audit Background:
Experience in auditing.
