Description



To provide and communicate relevant and timely management information in order to facilitate improved performance and effective control and appropriate financial decisions. Responsible for all site based financial management, ensuring effective financial control, compliance and reporting, as well as supporting and leading financial aspects of our group business strategies.

Job Details



Role Specific Responsibilities:


Provide support to the completion of the annual statutory accounts, tax and audits. To lead the timely production of financial results by ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial information into SAP to assist the management team with the decision-making process. To lead month end close and reporting for the site. Cost variance analysis, Misc GL postings. Accruals/Prepayments. Prepare balance sheet reconciliation. Prepare the annual operating plan (AOP) for the area of responsibility. Supporting annual standard costing / transfer pricing reviews. Manage inventory provisioning and stock count deviations, support stock count process. General financial and management accounting support to wider Finance Team and provide ad-hoc support to the European Finance Director to ensure the function meets all of its local and corporate objectives Processing monthly payroll via ADP including inputting of all new starter/leaver and change information, maintaining and reconciling company pension information, processing of P45's P60s and statutory payments such as SSP, SMP and SPP and completing all payroll year end requirements and dealing with ad-hoc pay queries. Deputise for other Site Accountants during periods of absence. Member of the site leadership team providing input and guidance to support decision making activities Potential travel to other UK sites. To undertake other duties as may be required

Education & Qualifications:


Part Qualified accountant CIMA, ACA, ACCA 5 GCSEs Grade A - C including Math's and English.

Experience: (industry and job specific)


A minimum of 2 years' accounting experience preferably gained within industry/manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




SAP FI/SD/MM competence. Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups/Pivot Tables) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook/E-mail. Excellent verbal and written communications skills in order to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work to tight deadlines and monthly closures. Ability to organise work effectively and efficiently - organising and prioritising multiple tasks. Embodies the core values of Aurorium:
