Financial Reporting Manager

Job Description


Due to continued business growth, my client is now looking for an experienced and qualified financial reporting manager to join on of their teams.

Working in a busy and well-established financial services company, you will play a pivotal role in the organisation, overseeing and managing all aspects of financial reporting and analysis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and investment professionals, to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Duties:

  • Act as the lead accountant for various fund structures within the team
  • Review the accounting for a range of funds, management companies, and associated fund structures
  • Review all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures incorporating investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad-hoc investor queries
  • Manage and review the completion of audit queries
  • Act as a higher authority on day-to-day accounting queries and act as 4-eyes signatory on accounting matters, ensuring that company policy and professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to and that a professional quality of service is provided to clients and external contacts
  • Act as a banking signatory
  • Review the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns, and liaise with foreign tax advisers
  • Supervise and assist in the training and development of staff
  • Arrange and manage the appraisal process for members of staff
Key Requirements:
  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified.
  • Experience of managing staff at a supervisory level.
  • Experience managing a client or a portfolio of clients, or, assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients.
  • Financial Services / investment / private equity experience would be preferred but is not essential.
