Job summary:

The Financial Services Manager will be the finance lead and point of contact for the NGT bid and responsible for all financial service related development and implementation of the financial management services.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for the NTA on the development and implementation of the end to end financial management services
  • Be the primary point of contact for the NTA on operational issues related to transaction monitoring, data integrity, exception management, and fraud management.
  • Be the primary point of contact for all merchant of record responsibilities including managing the acquirer relationship, supporting the the operation and execution of the payment gateway, and related merchant service functions.
  • Manage end user system testing and configuration via consultation with Engineering and the customer. Works with Systems Operations to ensure financial data integrity, data backup, and disaster recovery for the financial system.
  • Manage relationship with engineering and product team to ensure project requirements are implemented in the toolset and operational improvements or issues are addressed and in place.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge repository, documentation and security matrix for and associated applications. Includes developing and implement processes and reconciliations for all related financial management tools.
  • Liaise with banks and other external 3rd party stakeholders to manage department requirements and deliveries.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and third party credit card clearing and acquirer relationships. Coordinates banking relationships with assistance from corporate treasury.
  • Coordinate and manage risk and issues register including project status reporting and related metrics to measure operational performance and achievement of financial KPI\'s and PIs.
  • Ensure revenue optimisation and assurance of the Scheme
  • Manage all financial management and payment administration resources
  • Manage continuous improvement of financial services
  • Communicating and reporting to the NTA including NTA finance and BI teams on impacts to data feeds related to financial or BI solutions and other reporting requirements as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Essential:
  • Qualified Accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Managerial accounting or finance experience including demonstrated senior level work
  • Demonstrated Project implementation or Program Management experience
  • Payment industry and processing experience
  • ISAE3402 experience
Desirable:
  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • Level 3 Certificate/(NVQ) Diploma in Business and Administration
  • Merchant of record experience
Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:
  • Demonstrated client relationship and management
  • Demonstrated experience with payment card industry requirements
  • Strong knowledge of electronic funds movement
  • Experience working with all levels of management and technical staff
  • Experience with system testing and integration
  • Service operations experience including change control, incident management, and exception management
  • Demonstrated responsibility for operational financial controls
Desirable:
  • Experience working with a high volume of transactions on a daily basis
  • Experience working with engineering and development team to design for project requirements

  • Able to demonstrate methodology to deep dive in investigation
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to negotiate with and influence senior levels of management and client
