Centum is an Irish Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering company, based in Toomebridge, Northern Ireland and we have been operating since 2015. Purpose:

The Group Financial Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, working across all operating and holding entities within Centum Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for the control, management, and preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting. This will include weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements. The successful candidate will also manage various members of the department and be responsible for ensuring a first-class work environment within the department.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Analysing data which is then used in the preparation of weekly and monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports. Preparing the weekly and monthly management accounts including profit and loss, and balance sheet reports within strict reporting deadlines. Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts Preparing KPI reports and monitoring the performance of KPI's. Preparing weekly job costing reports. Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data. Conducting internal audits such as wages/payroll reviews. Statutory financial accounting filing duties such as Vat/Paye/RCT. Examining financial records to check for accuracy. Interacting with external accountants/auditors in a professional manner. Assisting in the production of the annual budget and controlling spends via reporting and supervision of the procurement processes. Ensure internal financial controls are designed, operational and adhered to. Identifying gaps in the financial process and creating workable solutions to reduce risk of control deficiencies.

Job qualifications:

A Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Certified Accountant (ACCA) qualification.

A member of other Professional Accounting Body.

Experience in the construction sector/similar role.
