Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fire Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and implementing fire safety systems across various construction and industrial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in system design, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and construction processes to ensure compliance with safety standards. The Fire Engineer will collaborate closely with project teams to develop innovative fire protection solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities



Design and develop comprehensive fire safety systems using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Analyse schematics, technical drawings, and system specifications to create effective fire protection solutions. Conduct site inspections to assess existing systems and identify areas for improvement or upgrade. Collaborate with construction teams to oversee the installation of fire safety equipment, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and electrical experience to assist in the assembly, modification, or repair of fire protection systems. Develop detailed schematics and technical documentation for system components and installation procedures. Conduct testing and commissioning of fire safety systems to verify functionality and compliance. Provide technical support during project planning, execution, and post-installation phases. Stay informed about emerging technologies and standards in fire safety engineering to continually enhance system design practices.

Requirements



Proven experience in system design related to fire protection or safety engineering. Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical components. Experience working with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and construction documentation. Knowledge of electrical systems as they pertain to fire safety equipment installation and maintenance. Familiarity with construction processes, site safety protocols, and project management principles. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Relevant qualifications in fire engineering or a related field are preferred but not essential.
