We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fire & Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, and implementing security systems across various commercial and domestic properties. Infinity Secure Solutions is a family run business specialising in installing and maintaining Intruder alarms, Fire alarms, Access control, CCTV, Disabled refuge, Disabled toilet alarms, Turnstiles and Speedgates and Gates and Barriers. The successful candidate would ideally have knowledge in a few of these areas and be eager to learn. Our office is based in St Neots, but engineers are required to travel to our clients, including but not exclusive to Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Responsibilities
Install and maintain security systems for our maintained customers
Conduct thorough analysis of system components, including mechanical and electrical elements, to optimise performance and reliability.
Collaborate with clients to oversee installation processes, providing technical guidance on the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Perform inspections of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement or upgrade, and implementing effective solutions.
Review technical documentation such as schematics and system diagrams to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Assist in troubleshooting system issues using electrical experience and mechanical knowledge to diagnose faults efficiently.
Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, industry standards and best practices.
Participate in meetings to communicate technical details clearly to clients, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications
Mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting issues within security and fire sector.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Relevant qualifications are desirable.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise meets critical safety responsibilities.
