Maywins Fire is a specialist Passive Fire Protection company based in Hertfordshire. We deliver high-quality fire safety solutions across Hospitals, Schools, and Local Authority properties. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced
Fire Door Surveyor
to join our team and support projects across our expanding portfolio of sites.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Carry out fire door surveys in line with current regulations and best practice
Competent in measuring bespoke fire doors.
Oversee fire protection works to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.
Support the training and development of maintenance teams to ensure that all work is completed using approved techniques.
Produce clear and accurate documentation of completed works.
Assist the Director in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Skills/Requirements that are highly Desirable:
Over 5 years' experience in the Passive Fire Protection industry.
Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, installation, and compliance.
FDIS or BM Trada qualifications preferred but not essential.
Experience using Microsoft Office, One Trace, and/or Bolster applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
SMSTS and First Aid trained required
Additional Information:
This is a self-employed position with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment.
This is a mobile role primarily covering London and Southeast England, working away will be required occasionally.
Use of a personal vehicle is essential
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (overtime available)
All site workers will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
