We're looking for someone who's passionate about making homes safer and who can deliver and support a wide range of fire improvement works. From fire doors and stopping to detection systems and remediation projects - your work will help keep our residents safe and secure.

This role supports the delivery of our Fire Improvement Works programme, working across both active and passive fire safety measures, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and internal policy. You'll be hands-on with inspections, specifications, contractor management and project coordination - all while delivering great service and ensuring value for money.

What you'll be doing......



Supporting the delivery of fire safety works across our London and South-East homes Working alongside the Senior FIW Project Manager and other internal teams to deliver planned fire risk improvements Scoping, specifying and inspecting active and passive fire safety installations Ensuring all fire works are completed to standard, with correct certifications and materials Carrying out site and health and safety inspections, and post-completion checks Managing and recording variations using the Keystone system and ensuring data is up to date Working with internal teams and contractors to ensure compliance, value for money and excellent delivery Representing PA Housing with a strong customer service ethos when engaging residents and resolving issues

What we're looking for:



We're after someone who's confident on-site, understands the bigger picture of compliance and has a practical mindset.

Ideally, you'll bring:

A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field Knowledge of active and passive fire systems and current fire regulations Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety, including IOSH or NEBOSH Experience in a housing, construction or building safety environment Excellent communication, contractor management and inspection skills Familiarity with Keystone or similar planned works/asset systems Strong IT literacy and record keeping abilities

This role of requires the successful candidate to complete a basic DBS check. A basic DBS check will show any unspent convictions.

So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit / support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.

Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited into the role; if you are potentially the successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post you have applied for and what remedial action , if any, have you have taken since your conviction. Suitable references will also need to be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
