Overview

We are looking for a individual that has building knowledge and plastering skills, to assist and learn from our installers, with the aim to be installing on their own in the future with the assistance of a labourer. You will be trained in all aspects of fireplace installation. including solid fuel stoves, surrounds, fireplaces and the required building works needed to keep inline with current regulations. Be willing to become at Hetas registered installer once trained, Hetas training and qualification will be paid for by the company for the right candidate.

You must hold a full Uk driving lincence, or learning with the aim to pass within the next few months. Use of company vans and tools.

The role is on a self employed basis. Wages to be discussed and will depend on experience, skills and qualifications already held.

Duties

Install products according to specifications and company guidelines, ensuring all installations meet safety regulations. Conduct site assessments prior to installation if needed to determine necessary tools and materials. Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure clear communication throughout the installation process. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation, providing solutions in a timely manner. Maintain an organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Emptying work vans and maintaining them in an organised manor. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns professionally.

Skills

Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to installation tasks. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction. Must have basic building knowledge and plastering skills. Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates. A valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between job sites.
