Duties/ResponsibilitiesWe are recruiting for a permanent mobile Fire and Security engineer for our clients to cover Hampshire and surrounding areas (company van for business use only with fuel card provided).
UK-wide travel may be required from time to time.The ideal location for the candidate would be around the M3 corridor or Surrey region.
Hours: 40 per weekShift Pattern: Monday to Friday between 8 am - 5 pm with 1 hour for lunch
Overtime available paid at x1.5 Monday to Sunday
Role to cover the on-call Rota which is currently 1 in 4
Callout standby to be paid at 3125.00 per week

You will also be responsible for carrying out system maintenance, reactive and small or extra works on CCTV, access control, security systems and automatic fire comprising of both internal and external clients.
We would prefer someone with a multi-disciplined background in Fire and Security.
Knowledge of working with large commercial clients and with many different manufacturers will be an advantage. The role will entail working with large Blue-Chip Clients across Hampshire and the surrounding areas.

xc2xb7 Provide planned preventive maintenance, system repair, small works and system commissioning activity in conjunction with Specialist Services requests and/or site/client requirements.
xc2xb7 Prepare dilapidation reports on newly acquired contracts and advise or recommend improvement, additions or reductions.
xc2xb7 Provide design, support and quotation delivery by relevant British Standards.
xc2xb7 Maintain a strong working relationship & communication between the client and EMCOR UK.
xc2xb7 Ensure policies, procedures and standards are in place and adhered to, maintaining the integrity of the contract portfolio, and that ongoing operational activities are implemented to provide high-quality service to customers.
xc2xb7 Maintain the service portfolios to the highest quality standard in all areas of activity to satisfy and maintain the requirements of external quality verification.
xc2xb7 Comply with policies relating to health, safety, security, environmental and technical compliance issues that affect customers and employees, ensuring that all rules are always adhered to and maintained to a high standard of discipline.
xc2xb7 Ensure risk assessments are completed or reviewed for every task being carried out.
xc2xb7 Comply with the mandatory requirement of wearing PPE.
xc2xb7 Ensure all works are completed following relevant British Standards and good working practices.
xc2xb7 Ensure timely submission of timesheets, mileage sheets and necessary administration paperwork, as detailed in the engineer's policies or required by the company/client.
xc2xb7 Ensure close cooperation and coordination with the EMCOR UK Service Centre.
xc2xb7 Ensure that all non-compliance and recommendations are followed up with a quotation or quotation build-up sheet.
xc2xb7 Comply with any request for any other duties on a time-to-time basis.
xc2xb7 At least 2 years of previous experience in servicing, maintaining and installation of CCTV, access control, intruder alarm systems, intercom systems and fire systems.
xc2xb7 Ideally the candidate will be a multi-disciplined engineer or a strong engineer in one discipline willing to cross-train.
xc2xb7 Adequate knowledge of relevant British Standards with a working knowledge of NSI and LPCB required standards. Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve by elimination and/or technical recommendations.
xc2xb7 Knowledge and experience of permits to work systems, method statements and risk assessments.
xc2xb7 Advanced PC and LAN/WAN Networking skills, including OS-level operation.
xc2xb7 Health & Safety trained.
xc2xb7 System design, surveying, estimating and quotation experience.
xc2xb7 Ability to implement a program of works or PPM schedule, and team / self-delivery to deadline timescales.
xc2xb7 Understanding of asset collation and a controlled program of just-in-time replacement.
xc2xb7 Ensuring that all reactive works are carried out within service level agreements.Other factors relevant to the job:
