As a respected, independent fire and security company we are on the lookout for a hands-on Engineering Manager to drive both operational excellence and technical leadership across our growing team. If you're a Senior Engineer or current Service/Installation Manager with solid experience in fire and security systems, this is your chance to move into a strategic role that still keeps you close to the technical action.
The Role
Oversee field engineers and office support staff
Act as the technical escalation point for complex faults and system queries
Support both service and installation/project departments
Review and manage job progress, performance, and client satisfaction
Provide quotations, assist with commissioning, and manage client relationships
Ensure high standards across installations, maintenance, and system performance
Enhance operational processes and best practices
Mostly office-based with field support when required
Requirements
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer in fire & security
Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and fire alarms
Experience managing teams and coordinating service and project delivery
Confident producing quotes and liaising directly with clients
Strong understanding of industry regulations (BAFE, NSI, FIA, etc.)
Proactive, organised, and able to drive continuous improvement
Full UK Driving Licence
