Townsend Contracting is a reputable, privately owned BM Trada Q-Mark certified contractor specialising in turnkey block restoration, including fire door installation and maintenance and passive firestopping installation.

Townsend Contracting currently delivers large-scale fire safety and restoration works on behalf of some of the UK's leading Build to Rent (BTR) developers, with ongoing projects across major regional cities.

Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time role based in

Aberdeen, Scotland.

Install fire stopping systems, including fire-resistant seals, boards, batt, and mastic products. Fit passive fire protection products in accordance with manufacturers' tested details and project specifications. Conduct fire stopping inspections and carry out any required remedial works. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise installation. Maintain full compliance with fire safety protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist with general site duties, including material handling, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment. Coordinate effectively with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely project completion. Record and verify all passive fire protection installations using Bolster Systems QA software.

Requirements

2 years plus experience in fire stopping or passive fire protection. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Passive Fire Protection. Valid CSCS card. FIRAS accreditation or equivalent (desirable but not essential). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Own tools and transport.

Other Details

Weekly pay. CSCS Self Employed / CIS payments. Long-term project with consistent work (58 weeks). Clean record, DBS check. Overtime / weekend work available
