for a long term contract to join our growing Passive Fire Protection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing firestopping systems to a high standard in accordance with manufacturer guidance, third-party certification schemes, and current Building Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation of firestopping systems including batt & mastic, pipe wraps/collars, cavity barriers, intumescent coatings and acoustic seals.
Working to manufacturer installation instructions and site-specific specifications. (Manufacturer mainly Protecta)
Completing firestop works to a compliant, clean and professional finish.
Accurately recording installation details and photographic evidence for auditing and certification.
Communicating with site supervisors and project management regarding progress and variations.
Ensuring health, safety and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
Requirements:
Experience in passive fire protection or a relevant construction trade.
Competent using hand/power tools and working cleanly and professionally.
Ability to understand installation drawings and manufacturer detail sheets.
CSCS card (essential).
NVQ Level 2 (essential).
Additional fire-stopping / ASFP qualifications are an advantage.
Must be willing to travel to various sites nationwide.
Require own transport to meeting point.
