Orbit Workforce Solutions Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Fire Stoppers to join an important project in Glasgow. (Must hold a UK driving License)

Key Responsibilities

Install a wide range of fire stopping systems, including fire-resistant seals, cavity barriers, fire boards, batt and mastic products, and specialist compounds, with precision and attention to detail. Deliver cavity barrier installations, particularly within vertical applications, ensuring compliance with design and performance requirements. Carry out fire stopping works (batt, mastic, and associated systems) in line with project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidance. Undertake fire stopping inspections, identifying and rectifying non-conformities or defects through effective remedial action. Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure correct product selection and installation. Maintain the highest standards of compliance with fire safety legislation, industry standards, and company procedures at all times. Work collaboratively with site teams, supervisors, and project managers to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient installations. Record and report completed works, inspections, and remedial activities with clear documentation for quality assurance purposes.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' proven experience in fire stopping or passive fire protection. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Passive Fire Protection (or working towards). Valid CSCS card (mandatory). FIRAS accreditation or equivalent (desirable but not essential). Full UK driving licence

and access to reliable transport (essential requirement)

. Own hand tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions precisely. Capable of working independently and as part of a wider site team.
