We are seeking a skilled Fire Stopper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction trades and be responsible for installing fire-stopping systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings. Duties

Install fire-stopping materials in walls, floors, and ceilings to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations. Conduct inspections of fire-stopping systems to identify any deficiencies or areas needing improvement. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, to coordinate work and ensure proper installation of fire protection systems. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to fire stopping. Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations. Document installation processes and report any issues or concerns to management promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction painting techniques is an advantage. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards on the job site.
