We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Kitchen team. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, ensuring all utensils and equipment are washed and stored properly. Support chefs and cooks during service by helping with plating and serving meals. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for food preparation is key. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is preferred. A background in catering or culinary arts would be beneficial for those looking to advance their skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
