Job Overview

As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all customers feel welcome and valued. Your ability to upsell menu items and provide knowledgeable recommendations will enhance the overall experience while contributing to the restaurant's success.

Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards. Assist in food preparation as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the restaurant environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong upselling skills with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment as well as independently when required. A positive attitude with excellent communication skills is essential for interacting with guests and colleagues alike.
