Location: Sites across the UK (travel required)

Rate: 30-35 per hour (CIS)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Self-Employed (CIS)

Start Date: Immediate / Flexible

Travel Package: Mileage and accommodation covered for out-of-area projects

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Fit-Out Site Manager to lead delivery on high-quality commercial fit-out projects, typically valued around 1 million. This is a working role -- ideal for someone with both the practical know-how and leadership skills to guide a team, drive the build forward, and take real pride in delivering outstanding results.

You'll be the key point of responsibility on-site, managing trades, maintaining standards, and setting the tone for a positive, productive working environment. You'll be supported by a project team, but expected to take ownership and lead from the front.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily site activities, subcontractors, and sequencing of works

Take a hands-on role in construction and problem-solving as needed

Oversee site logistics, deliveries, and maintain clean, safe working conditions

Enforce health & safety and lead by example in safe site culture

Liaise confidently with clients, designers, and project managers

Track progress, quality, and ensure attention to detail throughout

Requirements

Demonstrable experience in delivering fit-out or refurbishment projects (500k-1.5M)

Trade background (carpentry/joinery/general build) preferred

Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications

Full UK driving licence - essential for site access and travel

Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster team morale

Professional, self-driven, and committed to quality workmanship

Comfortable working away from home (accommodation provided)
