Job Description

The Role:

We are looking for a site fitter to lead one of out teams installing architectural metalwork. The role of our site fitters is to install bespoke mild steel and stainless steel balustrades, handrails, balconies, Juliet balconies, metal stairs, gates, railings etc. which have been manufactured at our premises in Coventry.

We are looking for a candidate who has previous experience of installing metalwork and experience of MIG/TIG welding. Most of our installs require fitting according to installation drawings, but on some jobs you will be expected to use your own initiative to work out the best solution for the customer. You will be working alongside one of our junior fitters, and expected to take the lead within the fitting team to ensure projects are completed accurately and safely. The role may also involve site visits to discuss and measure new and potential jobs.

A driving licence will be required for this role as you will be driving a company van to jobs.

Basic hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekday overtime, weekend work and working away. The company is based at our premises on the Binley Industrial Estate, Coventry. Most of our jobs are within the Midlands, with occasional work further away which may require overnight stays.

Experience Required:

The successful applicant will have experience either working on construction sites or working on installations in a similar professional environment. Experience of installing products such as gates, railings, balconies or other architectural metalwork, or experience of welding will be essential to the role.

We are looking for someone who can be flexible to work where required, whether that be on a large construction site, commercial premises or a house.

The successful candidate will be someone who works to a high standard, is well organised, and can work independently to find solutions for our customers.
