Abacus Logistics Ltd is a family-run logistics company operating over 100 vehicles, specialising in container transport to Southampton, London Gateway, and Felixstowe ports. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our Southampton depot.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day fleet operations and vehicle availability
Schedule servicing, maintenance, MOTs, and inspections
Ensure compliance with DVSA, O-Licence, and H&S requirements
Monitor defects, repairs, and vehicle downtime
Liaise with drivers, workshops, and external suppliers
Maintain accurate fleet records and support transport operations
About You
Previous experience in fleet or transport operations
Strong knowledge of HGV maintenance and compliance
Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
Good communication and IT skills
Container experience desirable
