NR Marine services is an owner and operator of a fleet of crew transfer vessels servicing the Offshore wind sector. We are currently seeking a second Fleet Engineer to join our team.
This role will be based in our Caister-on-Sea office but will also include travel across the UK and Europe to maintain our vessels.
The Fleet Engineer will be responsible for;
Attending vessel breakdowns across the UK and possibly Europe
Managing and updating the defects throughout the fleet and reporting to management
Training and assisting new and existing crew with vessel maintenance.
Maintaining and repairing all aspects of the vessel, with the assistance of the vessel crew
Attending and managing service agent callouts
Attending and managing dry docking/ engine exchanges, liaising with shipyards, surveyors and contractors.
Identifying required spare parts
Managing spare parts inventory in service vans & site stores.
Conducting vessel inspections.
Monitoring of equipment trends across the fleet
The Candidate should have;
Mechanical and electrical experience and an understanding of technical drawings
5 years marine engineering experience, preferably in small / fast craft.
STCW95 certified (preferable but not essential)
Full driving licence
Good admin skills
Computer literate
Attention to detail
A knowledge of -
Marine engines (MAN and Volvo experience an advantage)
415v, 240v & 24v electrical systems
Air conditioning systems
Hydraulic systems
Plumbing systems
NR Marine require all team members to be reliable, professional, a team player, hard working and an excellent representative for our company.
We operate a zero alcohol and drugs policy.
This role is based on a 19days on and 11days off rotation (including weekends, 2 on / 2 off). You will report to the Technical Manager for planned tasks but will also be expected to manage your own work and time outside of this.
We are looking for a highly flexible individual who can react rapidly to breakdowns and changing situations.
Salary 42,000pa.
You will be supplied a van, tools and fuel card for company use.
