A bit about the role




We're looking for a Fleet Supervisor to lead our on-the-ground eBike operations. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the deployment of our e-bike fleet, battery swapping, relocations, and retrieval of damaged bikes. You will manage the daily activities of our drivers, coordinating their shifts, ensuring they meet performance targets, and optimising fleet availability.


This role requires a high level of comfort with computer systems, as you'll be using our bespoke software to manage shifts and monitor the fleet. You'll be based at our warehouse location in Elephant and Castle, where you will oversee our daily operations and work closely with fellow Supervisors who diligently manage other aspects of the operation. Alongside our Workshop Maintenance and On-Street Maintenance (Guardians) Supervisors, you will ensure that wheels of operations keep on turning.

Schedule:




Flexibility is key in this role, as our fleet is managed across seven days a week by three Supervisors who share responsibilities. We are offering a

hour

per

week

contract

.


Additionally, you'll be expected to periodically cover weekends, shared between the other two Supervisor colleagues, with time off in lieu the following week. This schedule is coordinated with the Operations Manager to maintain both autonomy and effective coverage, ensuring we meet our operational goals.

Your key responsibilities include:



Fleet

Management:

Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and availability of our eBikes on the streets. Ensure that battery swapping, rebalancing, and bike collection are carried out efficiently to maintain our target of 90% fleet availability.

Shift

Coordination:

Manage the shifts and schedules of drivers operating our own fleet of electric vans as well as those from external agencies. Use our operations app to direct drivers and monitor their progress.

Performance

Monitoring:

Track the performance of drivers using our back-end system, ForestFleet. Identify issues, provide feedback, and implement remedial training as necessary to ensure targets are met.

Incident

Management:

Be prepared to step in when needed, including covering shifts, handling last-minute schedule changes, and carrying out high-priority tasks for the Operations Team.

Leverage our automated operations app to streamline processes and ensure efficient coordination of the fleet. Continuously monitor fleet health and direct resources to address any operational issues.

Provide initial and ongoing training and support to drivers to enhance their performance and ensure they adhere to company standards.

Ensure regular servicing and timely maintenance of our fleet of electric vans, coordinating repairs and inspections as needed to maintain optimal performance and safety. Keep accurate records of vehicle health and proactively address any issues to minimise downtime.

Who you are:



You have 2+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a similar role You have experience training and supporting other team members and enjoy managing and motivating people You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously You're highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to anticipate operational needs. You're tech-savvy and quick to learn new software, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets. You're adaptable and can handle changing priorities in a dynamic and evolving industry. You're hands-on and not afraid to get involved in the field when needed. You have strong leadership skills, are confident in providing feedback and enforcing procedures to ensure high standards

Bonus but not essential:



Experience working with fleet management software or similar logistics systems. Previous experience in the eBike or micromobility industry. Foundational knowledge of vehicle maintenance Valid drivers licence and the confidence driving a van up to Sprinter size
