15.25 per hour plus daily bonus

Job Title

- Flexible Class 1 HGV Driver

Monks Contractors are waste specialists - we provide haulage and waste specification plant hire to the waste industry. We also have a high pressure water drain jetting team, civil contracting team, plant repair, hire and sales

Responsible to: Transport Manager

As a Flexible driver you will be required to work on Class 1 vehicles covering driver absences. You will be responsible for collecting waste / recyclable materials from our customers and delivering this to the requested sites. You will drive and operate either a walking floor or ejector trailer (experience preferred, however training will be given), using safe and efficient driving techniques in line with the customers' requirements.

Responsible for;

To carry out the required daily driver vehicle checks

You will be responsible for the safe unloading and loading of various vehicles

Observing health and safety requirements

be responsible for the safety of self and members of the public

Geographical knowledge to ensure efficient and effective travelling

Essential Requirements;

Class 1 HGV Driving License

Full CPC obtained

Experience of using a Digital Tachograph Card

Working knowledge of Driving Regulations and The Working Time Directive

Enthusiastic and committed

Understanding of Health and Safety obligations

The ability to work under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems

Have a flexible approach to suit the business

Early starts will be required on occasion

Weekend work will be required
