Your Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will:
Provide consistent, personalised care throughout the night.
Support personal care and daily living tasks as needed.
Maintain a calm, safe, and nurturing home environment.
Monitor wellbeing and behaviour, reporting concerns promptly.
Communicate effectively with the daytime team to ensure seamless care.
Keep clear and accurate records of overnight activities and observations.
Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
Contribute to care plans and follow behaviour support strategies.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Experience supporting children or young people (residential care, fostering, education, or similar).
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and positive relationships.
Empathy, resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Flexibility to work waking night shifts, including weekends.
Team player with a proactive, caring approach.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce.
First Aid training.
Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours.
Full UK driving licence.
