We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Floor Layer and begin a rewarding career in the flooring industry.

As a Floor Layer, you will work alongside our experienced team to learn all aspects of the flooring trade. This is a hands-on role where you will receive comprehensive training and support to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified floor layer. You will be involved in various projects, from small residential installations to large commercial jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior floor layers with the preparation, installation, and finishing of various flooring types. Learn how to measure and cut materials accurately according to plans and specifications. Help with the removal of old flooring and prepare subfloors, including screeding, ply boarding and levelling. Clean and maintain tools and equipment. Transport materials and tools to and from job sites. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members and clients. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

No prior experience in flooring is required, but a keen interest in the construction or trades industry is a must. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions. Punctual, reliable, and a team player. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is a plus. Excellent communication skills. Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
