Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor installation and possess knowledge of various materials and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
- Install various types of flooring such as carpet, tile, vinyl, or wood, cup and cove flooring
- Prepare subfloors by leveling, cleaning, and applying adhesives
- Repair or replace damaged flooring
- Be able to use hot and cold welding
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively
- Ensure floors are installed securely and meet quality standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer or similar role
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics or blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Carpentry skills are a plus
