Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, with the ability to work with various materials and techniques. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics and plans, as well as the use of both hand and power tools. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential for success in this position.

Duties

Install a variety of flooring materials, including carpet, vinyl, click LVT Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and ensuring they are suitable for installation. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and fit flooring materials. Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a Floor Layer or in a similar role within the construction or renovation industry. Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques. Ability to read schematics accurately and implement them effectively on-site. Proficient in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools (e.g., nail guns, sanders etc). Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.

Pay: 14.63-26.28 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
