Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled flooring fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fitting various types of flooring incl. vinyl sheet, LVT, laminate, floor tile and carpet. The ideal candidate would also have experience in fitting commercial vinyl incl. cap and cove, however, training can be provided for the right person.

Most of our work is centered in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire but with work across the wider midlands so essential the successful candidate is prepared to travel, as necessary.

Removal of existing flooring Preparation of subfloor incl. self level, ply lining etc. Installation of vinyl sheet Installation of commercial sheet incl. upstands (training can be provided) Installation of carpet Installation of floor tiles Installation of laminate Willingness to train in the installation of commercial vinyl flooring

Willing to learn new types of flooring incl. engineered wood and commercial vinyl Basic plumbing to remove and refix toilets or wiling to learn Experienced in the use of a range of hand held power tools Proficient in the use of non motorized hand held tools Solution focused and calm under pressure Methodical with attention to detail Good verbal communicator Kind and caring
The ideal candidate will have their own van (business mileage reimbursed)and basic tools, however, for the right candidate, all of the above can be provided.
