Job Summary

Elegance of Essex is an established, independent florist based in Braintree. We are looking for an experienced retail florist to join our team.

This role is suited to someone confident in a busy retail environment who takes pride in their work and strives for high standards.

You will be responsible for designing and arranging floral displays for various occasions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the florist shop's presentation.

Duties

Create beautiful floral bouquets and arrangements for retail sales , weddings, funerals, and events Assist customers in selecting flowers and provide expert advice on floral care and arrangement options Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers through proper handling, conditioning and storage Ensure all stocks and supplies are well-stocked and properly displayed Manage merchandising displays to attract customers and optimise sales Keep the shop environment clean, organised, and visually appealing

Skills

Previous retail florist experience is essential

Requirements

Flexible working, being able to work extra days by agreement and also to assist in our sister shop in Colchester Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Organised with strong attention to detail Passionate about floristry and customer service Able to work well as part of a small team while also working independently as needed

Working hours

30 hours per week 9am to 5pm Wednesday to Saturday

Salary and Benefits

12.50 per hour (Will increase from 1st April) Includes 22.5 days paid holiday
