We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for floral design and an ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall aesthetic of the shop. This role requires both artistic flair and organisational skills to manage inventory and meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and special events. Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs and preferences. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring all displays are attractive and well-stocked. Manage inventory levels of flowers, plants, and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Communicate effectively with customers to provide information about products and services. Sell floral arrangements and related products, utilising persuasive communication skills to enhance sales. Stay updated on current trends in floral design and gardening techniques to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Skills

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Ability to communicate clearly in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus for engaging with a diverse clientele. A passion for gardening and knowledge of various flower types, their care, and arrangement techniques. Sales skills to effectively promote products and enhance customer satisfaction. Creative flair with an eye for colour, design, and detail in floral arrangements.
