HIRING: FLORIST (FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME)
DRIED is a small independent floristry studio specialising in and creating beautiful dried and preserved flower bouquets and bunches online, for commercial premises and for weddings.
All our bouquets and bunches are curated and hand-tied here in our Edinburgh studio and are delivered UK-wide and overseas.
We we are looking for the right person to join our small independent team as a florist working on online orders, weddings and commerical flowers.
The right candidate must be an experienced florist who is creative and has an excellent eye for detail. They will work well in a fast-paced floristry environment to fulfil online orders and wedding flowers to tight deadlines. The right candidate will also have strong communication skills when liaising with wedding customers in order to create beautiful blooms in line with the couple's visions. You will also need good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload as you will often be working independently. Floristry experience is necessary
Key Responsibilities
Create and package dried flower bouquets and bunches to a high standard for online orders
Carefully prepare and package orders for transit, ensuring secure, professional, on-brand packaging
Work to tight deadlines and maintain consistent quality across all designs
Communicate with wedding couples to understand and deliver their floral vision
Design and prepare wedding arrangements including bouquets, buttonholes, flower crowns, installations, table flowers and more
Create bespoke wedding and custom designs to client briefs
Design and install arrangements for commercial clients and local weddings (some travel required)
Driving license required
Use our online systems (Shopify and postal platforms - training provided) to process and ship orders
Keep track of inventory and ensure stock is well managed
What We're Looking For
At least 1 year of floristry experience (wedding/event experience preferred)
Experience working with dried flowers is a bonus
Strong design skills and a great eye for colour, balance and detail
A creative, can-do attitude and good problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills - written, spoken, and visual
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage your own time
Self-motivated and happy working independently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business
Confident using basic IT systems
Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods
A genuine love of flowers and floristry
Working Hours & Schedule
Monday-Friday, 9:00-16:30 (with half-hour unpaid lunch)
Flexibility available - we're happy to discuss part-time hours or full time hours
