Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Applicant must be within 15 minutes of Royston SG8

Duties

Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling techniques are employed to prevent damage. Conduct basic maths calculations for inventory management and order fulfilment. Apply for basic equipment repair and maintenance as needed. Maintain an organised and clean warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and accessible for retrieval.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. Basic maths skills for inventory management tasks. Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair is a plus. Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is beneficial but not mandatory; training may be provided. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Experience of driving Luton, LWB (L2/L3) Vans, Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Training will be given to become a Battery Engineer so that progression is possible.
